You Want the Best for Your Child and So Do We

Because children’s endocrinology care is such a specialized medical niche, finding a doctor with an opening in their busy schedule has been difficult for many families. It got even harder when insurance companies started to become more involved, dictating who you are allowed to see.

The Endocrine Co is the first direct care pediatric endocrinology clinic in Florida, located in Florida. Our direct care model is returning the human touch to personalized care. By spending more time with you and your child, and being available whenever you need her, Dr. Penny can build a stronger bond with your family and better diagnose and treat your child’s condition.

Why Direct Care May Be the Right Choice for Your Family

Treating growth problems, thyroid disorders, and hormone issues isn’t a quick fix. Continually monitoring your child’s care and adjusting treatment as needed can take months, if not years, and requires multiple visits with a pediatric endocrinologist.

For this journey, you need more than a doctor’s office – you need a true medical home where your provider is by your side at every step and knows you and your child on a personal level.

With our monthly membership and simple pricing structure, The Endocrine Co can keep our practice small and your child’s care affordable. Our commitment is to you, not an insurance company, so we can tailor treatment to your child and provide immediate care if a problem arises.

How Does Direct Patient Care Work?

Any child can enroll as a member of The Endocrine Co in Florida for $175 per month, plus a new member enrollment fee. Once you join, your flat monthly membership fee covers your child’s medical visits and health monitoring throughout the year. You also have direct access to Dr. Penny by phone, text or email.

While The Endocrine Co does not accept insurance for your child’s endocrinology services, we recommend that all families keep their children on their insurance plan to cover prescription costs, unexpected emergencies that require hospital visits, or referrals to other chronic care specialists.

The Benefits of Direct Patient Care

We don’t believe kids should have to wait weeks to see their provider. Or, for their parents to grow frustrated over callbacks that never come. As a member of The Endocrine Co, you have direct access to Dr. Penny. There’s no phone tree, no more voice mails that disappear – you can text or email your endocrinologist anytime.

Your child is unique, so their medical care should be too. Every comprehensive treatment plan starts with a deep dive into your child’s and your family’s health history to uncover any potential warning signs. We also take the time to get to know your kiddo on a personal level so they feel comfortable with their care.

Many pediatric endocrinologists spend just 15 minutes with a family to ensure they can fit in more patients throughout the day. Dr. Penny dedicates at least 30-60 minutes at every visit to help you understand your child’s diagnosis and next steps as well as answer any questions you both have.

When your kiddo isn’t feeling their best, you want them to be seen by a provider and find relief as soon as possible. At The Endocrine Co, your child can be scheduled for a routine face-to-face or telemedicine endocrinology appointment within just a few days of your call.

Growth disorders, early or late puberty, or hormone issues affect not only your child physically, but emotionally. Dr. Penny provides compassionate care to help boost your child’s self-esteem and coordinates treatment with other specialists as needed to address all areas of health and wellness.
